HotelTonight – Art District on Santa Fe Denver Hotels

Denver is one of those cities that just feels like it's culturally and historically important every time you're there. It's a fun place to visit, but just as if not more importantly it seems like a very enjoyable place to live. I wanted to find out about that as I began to spend more time there for work, so I came up with a plan to get to know the Mile High City a bit better. When I would fly there for meetings, I would schedule my flight home on a Saturday morning instead of a Friday morning. That gave me 24 hours of my own time to explore. I would also choose one neighborhood to explore when I was there instead of running around the entire city. I wanted to get a deep feel for what things were like here. I chose to explore the Art District on Santa Fe on my last trip, as I had heard a lot about it. I wasn't concerned about lodging, either, as my HotelTonight app would help me find an Art District on Santa Fe Denver hotel as soon as I was finished exploring for the day.

The Art Walk

Obviously, I had an idea that there would be quite a bit of artwork in this part of town given that the name of the neighborhood is the Art District on Santa Fe. Lo and behold, I was correct. It was also fortunate that I was there on a Friday night, as during the warm months they have an Art Walk every week to celebrate the beginning of the weekend. There was artwork out on the sidewalks from seemingly every discipline, and I walked around for hours checking all of it out.

The Feel

There is just something about this part of town that feels like it's home to anyone who wants to make it so. I've been in many other art districts across the world, and in those places you seem to see the same sort of people time and time again, and it feels often like those are the only type of people who should be there. That's not the case in the Art District on Santa Fe. I saw young professionals, older couples, families and just about everyone and everything else while I was walking around. It was clear that everyone was welcome, and that feeling permeates everything and everyone.

The Cuisine

Denver is quite known for its microbrews and gastropubs, and this neighborhood is home to some of them as well. Some nice people told me about this place in particular that makes a hamburger with mostly bacon that's hard to believe. I went there and tried it, and it was delicious. It was paired with a local beer that completed the entire flavor, and the sweet potato fries rounded the whole thing out perfectly. It was a tremendous meal.

HotelTonight – Art District on Santa Fe Denver Hotels Are Available

After a big dinner like that, I wanted to find my home base for the night and take it easy. It was going to be a big night of sleep.
