HotelTonight – Elliston Place Nashville Hotels
Nashville, Tennessee is a city with many aspects to it. It's obviously known across the globe for its transcendent music scene, and it's a cultural center for that part of the United States for other reasons as well. It's home to one of the finest universities in the world and home to millions of people who both live and visit here every year. Every time I've visited this beautiful place, I've stumbled upon something wonderful that I never knew existed before that day. I wanted to keep having those experiences. Fortunately, my job takes me to Nashville quite often, so I've been doing what I can to carve out some time to see it on a deeper level. I do so by picking out one neighborhood to visit every time I'm there, as that gives me the opportunity to explore without having to worry about time or seeing too much in a short amount of time. On my most recent trip, I chose to spend 24 hours in the Elliston Place neighborhood. As far as lodging was concerned, I wasn't concerned, as I always travel with HotelTonight. The Demographics
When a city is home to a large university, it's common for thousands of people who attend and ultimately graduate from that university to fall in love with the area. Given that, it's also common for quite a few of those people to continue to live near that campus. Elliston Place seems to be the neighborhood in Nashville where that is happening. It's near Vanderbilt University, and Elliston Place is filled with young professionals living in smaller and newer homes and town homes. These are folks who have a lot going on but who want to hang on to a happy time in their lives.
The Cuisine
Young professionals here seem to like to eat out as much as possible, as the restaurants are plentiful in number and all of them are crowded at the dinner hour. I asked around and was told about a place that serves incredible cheeseburgers, and that sounded just great to me. I went in and ordered, and they were right--the cheeseburgers were a sort of greasy and tasty that was perfection. You could tell that they had been making these burgers for years, and that's the way to do it.
The Nightlife
Young professionals also like to go out and have a good time after a long week of work. They do that right here in Elliston Place as well. I stopped into a few places for a drink, and every one of them had great live music playing and people dressed up and having fun together. I talked to quite a few of them, and their outlooks seemed to mirror the overall vibe of the neighborhood. This was a hopeful place full of optimism.
