Promotional Terms

The following terms and conditions apply to promotions (including referral and loyalty programs) offered by HotelTonight. Other supplemental terms provided along with a coupon, credit, or other promotional offer also apply to your use of, and participation in, any such promotion. The terms below and any supplemental terms are collectively referred to as the “HotelTonight Promotional Terms.”
IN ADDITION TO THESE HOTELTONIGHT PROMOTIONAL TERMS, THE HOTELTONIGHT TERMS OF SERVICE AND PRIVACY POLICY APPLY (COLLECTIVELY, THE “AGREEMENT”). Capitalized terms not defined in these HotelTonight Promotional Terms have the meanings given in the HotelTonight Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between these HotelTonight Promotional Terms and the HotelTonight Terms of Service, the HotelTonight Terms of Service will prevail.
HT Coupons and HT Credits
1. HT Coupons
HotelTonight occasionally provides, at our sole discretion, discount coupons that can be used on future bookings (“HT Coupons”). HT Coupons are redeemable by using a time-limited, single-use promotional code, subject to their Expiration Date.
At redemption, the face value of the HT Coupon will be deducted from the total due at the time of booking. You cannot apply HT Coupons toward prior bookings and you are not entitled to receive cash back, credit, or another HT Coupon if the value of the HT Coupon exceeds the price of a booking.
Expiration Dates for HT Coupons cannot be changed or extended. Multiple HT Coupons cannot be used in a single reservation. HT Coupons may not be available for use on certain bookings, such as those facilitated by Travelscape LLC or other third party providers. The scope, variety, and types of services and products that can be obtained by redeeming HT Coupons can change at any time. HT Coupons may be available in a limited quantity and we reserve the right to limit the number of coupons that may be earned or redeemed by a single user.
2. HT Credits
You may be eligible to receive time-limited credits from HotelTonight that can be applied toward future bookings on HotelTonight (“HT Credits”), subject to their Expiration Date. HT Credits can be accumulated within your account. You can view your credit balance and relevant expiration dates by clicking in the “Credits” section of your Account.
You can choose to apply your credit balance as you are completing the check-out for that booking. If you decide to use the HT Credits, we will automatically apply the HT Credits expiring soonest to your booking. Note that your full credit balance will be applied up to the total value of your booking; you will not be able to apply a partial credit balance to the booking. If your credit balance exceeds your current booking value, the remaining HT Credits will be retained in your account until their Expiration Date.
For certain bookings, you may receive HT Credits known as “Save for Later Credits” if you elect not to apply certain price discounts offered on your current booking. Save for Later Credits can be used for future eligible bookings made within 12 months from the credit issuance date. Available for select bookings at eligible hotels only.
Promotional Programs
HotelTonight, at its sole discretion, may make available promotions (including referral programs and loyalty programs) to any customers or prospective customers. These promotions may include the following:
1. HT Perks Loyalty Program
HotelTonight offers a customer loyalty program (the “HT Perks Loyalty Program”) based on a customer’s lifetime spend on HotelTonight bookings. Customers who reach qualifying total purchase amounts (“Perks Members”), as verified by HotelTonight, become eligible for different levels of “Perks Membership.” Perks Members will be automatically upgraded to the next membership level when they accumulate the minimum qualifying spend necessary for the next tier by booking rooms on HotelTonight (“Qualifying Spend”).
Perks Members are eligible to receive variable discount rates on select hotels based on their membership level (“HT Perks Discounts”). HT Perks Discounts are based on the room rate, which excludes all taxes and fees. HT Perks Discounts are offered on an “as available” basis and may not be available for all hotels or for any hotels in some destinations.
In addition to HT Perks Discounts, Perks Members may be eligible to earn HT Credits (“HT Perks Credits”) based on their Perks Membership status once they reach Perks Level 5. Any available HT Perks Credits can be viewed in the “Booking” tab of the Perks Member’s account. In general, Qualifying Spend amounts will be posted to a Perks Member’s account balance within approximately one (1) day of purchase, and if the Qualifying Spend entitles the Perks Member to additional HT Perks Credits, they will be available for redemption within approximately one (1) day of posting. HT Perks Credits are subject to all terms and conditions applicable to other HT Credits.
If Qualifying Spend is not fully paid by the customer or is refunded, any corresponding HT Perks Credits will be rescinded. HotelTonight will have no liability for errors, delays, or failure to credit the Perks Member’s account properly. HotelTonight reserves the right to invalidate Qualifying Spend from a Perks Member’s account if it determines that the Qualifying Spend was improperly attributed to the Perks Member’s account, obtained fraudulently, or obtained through a violation of the Agreement. If you believe that your Perks level or HT Perks Credits were incorrectly calculated, please contact Customer Service at help@hoteltonight.com. Any claim that Qualifying Spend or associated HT Perks Credits are not posted accurately must be received by us within one (1) month of the date of the claimed accrual of Qualifying Spend. Our determination with respect to any Perks Member’s account is final.
HotelTonight reserves the right to modify, terminate, change, or otherwise revise the terms and conditions of the HT Perks Loyalty Program (including the Qualifying Spend, amount or value of credits available, Perks Membership level criteria, or any of the ways to earn or redeem HT Perks Credits) at any time in our sole discretion.
If HotelTonight changes the HT Perks Loyalty Program in a manner that materially adversely impacts the prospective use of HT Perks Credits, we will provide 30 days advance notice. Your continued use of HT Perks Discounts or HT Perks Credits upon expiration of a notice period will constitute your acceptance of any changes to the applicable terms and conditions. During the notice period, Perks Members may still accrue Qualifying Spend and redeem HT Perks Credits earned. All HT Perks Credits and other benefits must be used prior to the effective date of termination. Perks Members should not rely on the continued availability of the HT Perks Loyalty Program or any accumulated credits. If we terminate the HT Perks Loyalty Program, each Perks Member will forfeit any then-unclaimed HT Perks Credits, discounts, or other benefits associated with the program without compensation.
Expiration Date: HT Perks Credits expire 180 days from the date issued, unless otherwise stated.
2. Referral Code Program
You may have the opportunity to earn time-limited HT Coupons or HT Credits through specific promotional programs, including the “Referral Code Program,” in which you can invite friends and family who have not previously used HotelTonight to download the HotelTonight app and book hotels using a personal referral code.
The HT Coupon or HT Credit amount will be stated in the promotion and will be automatically applied to your account after your invitee: (a) signs up for their own new HotelTonight account (the first HotelTonight account ever created by the invited friend or family member), (b) uses your referral code to make a qualifying booking on HotelTonight, and (c) satisfies any booking requirements stated in the promotion (for example, your invitee’s booking may need to meet a minimum value requirement).
Your referral code may only be used for personal and non-commercial purposes. You may not distribute your referral code on sites where you are a contributor but not the primary content owner (e.g., Wikipedia, coupon websites, app stores, or app review websites), and you may not promote your invite code via search engine marketing. You may not use your referral code to invite yourself, anyone who uses the same credit card as you do, or someone who uses the same mobile device as you do. You cannot earn HT Coupons or HT Credits through this program by creating multiple HotelTonight accounts.
HotelTonight Referral Code Program may include the following:
- Give $25, Get $25
- If you are a Level 1 or 2 HT Perks Member and share your personal referral code with friends and family, you may be eligible to receive a $25 USD coupon (or the equivalent in your account currency) after your invitee makes a qualifying booking. The coupon will be automatically added to your account, and you may redeem it on a future booking of at least $135 USD (or equivalent), excluding taxes and fees.
- If you are the invitee, you can redeem your $25 USD (or equivalent) coupon by entering the referral code at check-out when making your first qualifying HotelTonight booking. You must be a new HotelTonight customer and the booking value must be at least $135 USD (or equivalent), excluding taxes and fees. The coupon expires if your first booking does not meet the minimum price requirement.
- Give $50, Get $50
- If you are a Level 3 or higher HT Perks Member and share your personal referral code with friends and family, you may be eligible to receive a $50 USD coupon (or the equivalent in your account currency) after your invitee completes their second booking. The coupon will be automatically added to your account, and you can redeem it on a future booking of at least $150 USD (or equivalent), excluding taxes and fees.
- If you are the invitee, by entering the referral code at check-out when making your first HotelTonight booking, you may be eligible to receive the lesser of $50 USD in HT Credit or 20% of the value of your first booking (excluding taxes and fees) for use on a future booking.
Expiration Date: Any HT Coupons or HT Credits earned through the Referral Code Program expire 120 days from the date issued, unless otherwise stated in the promotion.
3. Airbnb Credit Program
HotelTonight may, in its sole discretion, make select users eligible for a promotion in which they can receive time-limited credits from Airbnb, a HotelTonight affiliate, when they make a booking on HotelTonight (the “Airbnb Credit Program”).
Under the Airbnb Credit Program, HotelTonight users will earn Airbnb credits (“Airbnb Credit”) valued at 10% of their HotelTonight booking value, excluding all taxes and fees. The Airbnb Credit will be issued by Airbnb only after a customer completes their stay at the booking made through HotelTonight. Airbnb Credit issued through the Airbnb Credit Program will expire one (1) year after the check-out date for the HotelTonight booking for which the Airbnb Credit was earned. The maximum amount of Airbnb Credit that can be earned for any single booking on HotelTonight is $2,000 USD.
To claim Airbnb Credit earned through the Airbnb Credit Program, customers must connect to their Airbnb account through HotelTonight. By connecting to your Airbnb account, you agree and direct HotelTonight and Airbnb to share personal information between each other as necessary to process your Airbnb Credit and conduct marketing analytics in connection with the Airbnb Credit Program.
Once a user connects an Airbnb account, future credits earned through the Airbnb Credit Program will be automatically added to that same Airbnb account unless the user decides to disconnect that Airbnb account. A user can decide to stop receiving credits in that Airbnb account by disconnecting it at any time in the HotelTonight app or website through the Account Settings or by contacting help@hoteltonight.com.
Airbnb Credit is subject to Airbnb’s Credit Terms and Conditions. Additionally, anyone who connects to Airbnb or otherwise uses its services will be subject to its Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and other Airbnb policies.
To participate in the Airbnb Credit Program, users’ HotelTonight and Airbnb accounts must both be in good standing with HotelTonight and Airbnb, respectively. HotelTonight and Airbnb each reserve the right to change or terminate the Airbnb Credit Program (including by changing the amount of Airbnb Credit you may earn for each HotelTonight booking or the way in which you may earn or redeem Airbnb Credit), at any time. If changes will materially adversely impact the prospective use of existing Airbnb Credit, we will provide adequate prior notice. Your continued use of Airbnb Credit upon expiration of a notice period will constitute your acceptance of any changes to the applicable terms and conditions.
Airbnb Credit Expiration Date: Airbnb Credits earned through the Airbnb Credit Program expire 1 year from the date of check-out from the applicable HotelTonight hotel stay.
4. HT Price Guarantee Program
Hotel prices often change – sometimes even from hour to hour, depending on demand. If you have completed a booking on HotelTonight and find a lower price for the same hotel room elsewhere within an approved time window, you may be eligible to receive HT Credits equal to the difference between the room rate in your original HotelTonight booking and the lower room rate you found afterwards. The value of HT Credits that may be earned under the HT Price Guarantee Program will be calculated based on the difference in the two room rates, excluding all taxes and fees.
Below are the conditions to earn HT Credits under the HT Price Guarantee Program:
- The lower price must be found within an approved time window after making your booking on HotelTonight:
- For same-day bookings, we guarantee our price for 2 hours after the booking was made.
- For next day check-ins, we guarantee our price until midnight on the day the booking was made.
- For bookings made more than one day in advance, we guarantee our price for 24 hours following the time the booking was made.
- The lower rate you found must be for the same property, the same date(s) and the same room type that you booked on HotelTonight. The room must comfortably fit two adults (no bunk or Murphy beds) and have a private bathroom.
- The lower rate must not be tied to a stricter cancellation policy than your booking on HotelTonight.
- The lower rate you found must be more than just a difference in taxes or fees. As noted above, the value of HT Credits that may be earned will be calculated based on the difference in the two room rates (excluding all taxes and fees).
- The lower rate must be available to the general public. AARP rates, AAA rates, military rates, corporate rates, etc., do not apply.
- Rates offered through loyalty programs, through contests or as part of a travel package are not eligible.
- Rates from apps or websites where you don’t know the name of the hotel until after booking are not eligible.
- Rates from websites/apps where you name your own price and rates you must call in for are not eligible.
- The lower rate cannot be from HotelTonight or an app or website that is affiliated with HotelTonight.
To submit a claim:
- Take a timestamped screenshot of the lower rate you’ve found (the time stamp must fall within the allowed time window based on how far in advance you booked). Be sure the screenshot includes the dates, property name, website/app name, rate details (including a breakdown or another indicator that the rate excludes taxes and fees), room type, cancellation policy, and any other relevant information related to the conditions of the HT Price Guarantee Program.
- Submit your claim within twenty-four (24) hours from the time you found the lower rate. You may submit your claim either by replying to your booking confirmation email or by sending a new email to help@hoteltonight.com.
- Include the email address associated with your HotelTonight account, your booking ID and hotel name, where you found the lower price (including a complete URL if you found the lower price on a website) and any other relevant information.
Please note that under the HT Price Guarantee Program:
- We reserve the right to deny claims that are suspicious and/or appear to be fraudulent.
- The HT Price Guarantee Program does not apply in the event of disasters, acts of terrorism or other events outside of HotelTonight’s control.
- The maximum amount of HT Credits that can be issued is $400.
- HT Credits issued as part of a claim will be voided if the credit card charge associated with the booking is disputed.
Expiration Date: HT Credits earned through the HT Price Guarantee Program expire 1 year after issuance.
General
“Expiration Date” means the last day that you can redeem an HT Coupon or HT Credit by completing a check-out on HotelTonight.
HT Coupons and HT Credits are issued for promotional purposes. They do not constitute property, are not stored value, do not entitle a user to a vested right or interest, and have no cash value. HT Coupons and HT Credits may not be redeemed for cash or cash equivalents, except where required by law, and may not be sold, exchanged, bartered, auctioned (including through internet auction sites), given away, or otherwise transferred. Any attempt to sell or transfer HT Coupons or HT Credits may result in the forfeiture of credits or disqualification from all credit and loyalty programs. HT Coupons and HT Credits are null and void if not obtained through legitimate channels authorized by HotelTonight.
HT Coupons and HT Credits will be provided in your account currency but may be used on bookings in any display currency supported on HotelTonight. If available, the local currency equivalent coupon or credit amount will be calculated using currency conversion data from one or more third parties, such as Open Exchange Rates. We regularly update the exchange rate used, but it may not be identical to the real-time market rate at the time the conversion is processed.
HT Coupons and HT Credits accumulated on different accounts or by different users may not be transferred, combined, or aggregated.
The payment of any taxes applicable to the value received by redemption of any HT Coupon or HT Credit, if any, are the sole responsibility of each user.
HotelTonight reserves the right to suspend user accounts, void any HT Coupon or HT Credit, cause the revocation of any Airbnb Credit, or prohibit any user from participating in any aspect of a promotion if HotelTonight determines, believes, or detects that a user has engaged in or has attempted to engage in any of the following: (a) acting in violation of the Agreement; (b) damaging, tampering with, or corrupting the operation of the promotion, or HotelTonight’s website or mobile app; (c) acting with intent to annoy, harass, or abuse any other person; (d) any inappropriate, uncooperative, disruptive, fraudulent, potentially fraudulent, or unusual behavior or activity; (e) activity inconsistent with the intended operation of the promotion; or (f) if the HT Coupon, HT Credit, or Airbnb Credit was improperly attributed to the user. In addition, HotelTonight may take any action we determine is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, the order or request of a court, law enforcement, or other administrative agency or government body.
Each promotion participant acknowledges and agrees that the decisions of HotelTonight will be made in its sole discretion, and solely based upon HotelTonight’s records. HotelTonight reserves the right to review, investigate, and adjudicate all promotion discrepancies, and each promotion participant agrees to abide by any such adjudication.
HotelTonight reserves the right to modify, terminate, change, or otherwise revise any of the ways to earn or redeem HT Coupons or HT Credits (as well as the corresponding details of such method, including the amount or value of available credits), by providing notice as set forth below.
HotelTonight reserves the right to modify these HotelTonight Promotional Terms at any time in accordance with this provision. If we make changes to the HotelTonight Promotional Terms or the Promotional Programs, we will post the revised terms on the HotelTonight platform. We will also provide you with notice of material changes at least thirty (30) days before the date they become effective. Your use of any HT Coupons or HT Credits after any modification shall constitute your consent to such modification.
The limitations of liability set forth in the HotelTonight Terms of Service apply to HotelTonight’s liability in connection with or arising out of these HotelTonight Promotional Terms; your use or inability to use the HT Coupons or HT Credits; or your participation or exclusion from the Promotional Programs. In addition, HotelTonight’s aggregate liability to you in connection with any HT Coupons or HT Credits will not exceed the amount of the promotional coupon or credit.
