HotelTonight – Hotels in Marysville Washington
Marysville is a pretty city located in Snohomish County, Washington. Since it's only 35 miles north of Seattle, many people choose to live in Marysville and commute into Seattle, and they don't mind the drive since there's a certain quality of life in Marysville that is hard to find in a big city. After a recent business trip to Seattle, I decided that I wanted to explore some of the surrounding cities so that I could get a better feel for life in the Pacific Northwest. After all, I had visited Seattle many times over the years, but had yet to venture outside of the city. So after doing a bit of light research, I decided to visit Marysville, Washington. I immediately pulled up the HotelTonight app on my phone and started browsing hotels in the Marysville area. A few minutes later, I had booked a great hotel in central Marysville and was ready to start exploring this pretty Pacific Northwest city.
Downtown
If you want to stay in the center of the action while in Marysville, I'd recommend you stay near downtown. This idyllic, compact downtown is full of rustic charm and energy, which is why it's considered the best shopping district in town. Third Street and State Avenue are both filled with great shops and restaurants, so it's the perfect place to grab a souvenir or a bite to eat while in Marysville.
Parks
Like many cities in Washington, Marysville has no shortage of parks. There are a number of public parks in Marysville, such as Deering Wildflower Acres, Doloshel Park and Harborview Park, among others. But arguably the most beautiful part in the city is the Jennings Memorial & Nature Park, a haven for outdoor lovers that is centrally located in Marysville.
Snohomish River Delta
One of the must-see sights in Marysville is the Snohomish River Delta, a picturesque estuary where you can go out on a boat to see great wildlife and fauna. While it's a good spot for motorized boating, I decided to explore the delta at a slower pace, so I rented a kayak and paddled through the pristine waters of the Snohomish River Delta. The best way to access the delta is at the Ebey Waterfront Park, located in downtown Marysville. This waterfront park is also a great place for a picnic and for enjoying the beautiful views of the river.
