HotelTonight – Issaquah Washington Hotels
Issaquah is located in beautiful King County, Washington, and it's certainly one of the prettiest cities I've visited in recent years. Surrounded by stunning highlands, valleys and lakes, Issaquah has no shortage of beautiful natural sights. Of course, the town itself is charming and beautiful in its own right, and the combination of the great outdoors and the lively town create a truly infectious atmosphere. That's exactly why I fell in love with the city of Issaquah when I visited, and I'm glad I chose to explore this relatively unknown city during my recent trip to the Pacific Northwest. To book my hotel in Issaquah, I simply checked the HotelTonight app on my phone and browsed its selection of Issaquah hotels. Within minutes, I had booked a great hotel in the center of Issaquah, and I was ready to get outdoors and explore the Pacific Northwest.
The Issaquah Alps
Issaquah is bordered by the Issaquah Alps, a range of highlands that provide a number of great outdoor activities. While I decided to explore the Issaquah Alps by hiking a few of its most popular trails, locals also come here for mountain biking and even paragliding, so there are many great recreational activities to enjoy in these highlands.
Historic Downtown
Downtown Issaquah looks like it belongs on a postcard. This picturesque downtown overflows with old world charm, and it has preserved its Old West character. This historic downtown is more than just a treat for the eyes, though – it also offers plenty of great dining, shopping and entertainment. This is also where many of Issaquah's community events take place, and I was lucky enough to be in town for its annual Issaquah Salmon Days festival. Whether or not you visit Issaquah during this festival, you should definitely try some salmon while in town – it'll be some of the freshest salmon you've ever had!
Gilman Village
Since it was founded in 1972, Gilman Village has been one of the hubs of shopping and entertainment in Issaquah. This unique commercial area is comprised of over 40 shops and restaurants that attract people from all over Puget Sound. Since this is a popular area for locals to shop, dine and socialize, I decided to visit Gilman Village, and I found a number of fascinating old-fashioned restaurants and shops while here. I could certainly see why Gilman Village is a favorite among Puget Sound locals.
HotelTonight – Last-Minute Hotel in Issaquah Washington
Even though Issaquah is just a short drive away from Seattle, this small city truly feels like a world away. There's a small town charm to Issaquah that you won't find in any big cities, and I loved the strong sense of community throughout Issaquah. I also loved how it was centrally located to anything I wanted to do or see in Puget Sound, which is why I would definitely return to Issaquah on my next Pacific Northwest vacation. If I need to find another hotel in Issaquah, I know exactly who to rely on – HotelTonight, which always makes it easy for me to find great hotels at a moment's notice.
