HotelTonight – Hotels in Beaver
Recently, I was making the long drive from Idaho to Los Angeles. I'd been on the road for hours and needed a break. I decided to pull off the highway in Beaver and see what the small town had to offer. I ended up being so glad I decided to check out Beaver. Thanks to the HotelTonight app, I was able to easily find a place to stay, which left me free to enjoy my day in town.
The Area
Beaver is located in southwestern Utah, near the Utah-Nevada border. The town is near the scenic Tushar Mountains and the Beaver River. The close access to the great outdoors makes Beaver a great spot for anyone who loves hiking, fishing or being out in nature. Located three hours north of Las Vegas, it has a great small town feel, while still having plenty of things to see and do while you're in town. This was my first time stopping in Beaver and I was amazed at what a great little town it is.
Things to Do
I always love seeing the scenery when I visit a new place, so the first thing I decided to do after arriving in Beaver was to go for a hike. There are plenty of great hiking trails near the city that offer gorgeous views. After my hike, I decided to visit a state park that details the history of one of the indigenous people who lived in the area. It was a really cool museum and really did a great job of giving a look into the past. I noticed a lot of other cool things to do in Beaver and the surrounding areas as well. I'll be sure to stop in Beaver the next time I find myself in Southern Utah to see what else the town has to offer.
The Food
Once I'd finished seeing the sites, I was feeling hungry and decided it was time to get something to eat. I asked around and was direct to a drive-in on Main St. I was so glad I decided to stop there for dinner. I ordered a cheeseburger, and it was one of the best burger's I've ever had. To finish off my meal, I decided to have a chocolate shake, which was a great decision. I'll definitely be eating there the next time I'm in Beaver.
