HotelTonight – Pacific Beach Hotels Are Available
It seems as though large coastal cities, such as San Diego, California, are filled with little hamlets that a lot of people wouldn't know about just from watching television channels devoted to travel or reading travel blogs. I had been to San Diego a few times, but I had never really ventured outside of the downtown area or Mission Valley because I was always there for work. One day, I decided to extend my stay for one day after hearing about this place my colleague called Pacific Beach, or "PB" as the locals know it. I wanted to see for myself if this really was a place to let it loose and enjoy the scenery, so I pulled up my app called HotelTonight and searched for Pacific Beach hotels. Within minutes, I had a place to stay and time on my hands. I couldn't wait to see what all the fuss was about.
The Proximity
One of the first things I noticed when I parked my car at my Pacific Beach hotel was that I really wouldn't be needing my car until it was time to go to the airport. Everything you'd want to see in Pacific Beach is within walking distance, and that's a rare thing indeed in Southern California. Not only was everything within walking distance, but you would be walking, if you chose to do so, along the Pacific Ocean and perhaps even in beach sand that was extremely white in color and soft in texture. I liked all of that quite a bit.
The Social Scene
Pacific Beach earned its legendary status as PB because of the nightlife here, and I was definitely happy to see that as the sun went down. This is a place that's filled with different types of establishments, so whatever you want it's here. If you want to dance, there are clubs all over the place. If you want to shoot pool or watch sports, you have a lot of options. If you want to sit quietly and talk to the people you're with, you're in luck in PB. The diversity of choice and the friendliness of the crowds is what caught my attention.
The Breakfasts
You wouldn't think PB would be an early-rising place, but it actually is. I learned that the next morning when I wanted a nice big meal before heading to the airport. Once again, I had choices. I could head to a place a bit off the water that served meals that were legendarily large or I could enjoy a nice breakfast right on the beach. I chose the beach, and even though the meal was served on a paper plate, it was well worth the 10 minutes of waiting in line.

Sadly, it was time to head back to the airport. I had enjoyed my time in PB, and I was glad that I found a hotel room in Pacific Beach so easily. I would be back here someday for a longer stay, and I would do so with the help of HotelTonight.
