Recently while I was in Spokane for a business trip, I found myself with a free day to explore the city. I'd been wanting to check out the Latah Valley for some time, so I headed into the neighborhood to spend the day seeing what the Latah Valley had to offer. Thanks to the great HotelTonight app, I knew I wouldn't have to worry about finding a place to stay, which left me free to enjoy my day exploring the neighborhood.
The Area
The Latah Valley is an exciting part of the city and is one of the most trendy neighborhoods in Spokane. The Latah Valley is located just west of downtown Spokane and has so much to see and offer. The neighborhood is also near the beautiful Latah Creek, which offers beautiful scenery and walking trails. The neighborhood also features some older neighborhoods which give Latah Valley a historic feel mixed with the vibrant feel of a trendy city. With all the things to do and see in Latah Valley, it's a great place to visit when in Spokane.
Things to Do
There are so many great things to do in Latah Valley. The sprawling neighborhood is full of great stores and shops to visit and is home to both locally owned businesses, as well as large chains. The neighborhood also features a great park that has walking paths that take you right down to the river. The Latah Valley also is close to several hills surrounding the city and offers easy access to hiking trails. It is easy to see why this neighborhood is one of the most popular places in Spokane. It seemingly has it all. I could have spent a week just in the Latah Valley.
The Food
As I was making my way through the Latah Valley, I noticed how many great places to eat there were. It seemed like everywhere I looked I saw another great looking restaurant. I asked around for suggestions and was led to a great little diner. I ate a wonderfully prepared salad and sandwich, then topped it off with a piece of pie that tasted like it was homemade. I can't wait until I am back in the Latah Valley and can try some of the other great looking restaurants in the neighborhood.

After spending a great day in the valley, and eating a wonderful meal, I was ready to find a place to stay and get some rest.
