HotelTonight – Find Hotels in Mount Carmel with Ease
Recently I was in southern Utah for a week of business meetings. Southern Utah has always been one of my favorite places to visit, and I've always loved spending time exploring the small towns in the area. When the final day of meetings was canceled, I decided to take advantage of my free day and spend some time exploring Mount Carmel. I knew finding a place to stay wouldn't be a problem with the HotelTonight app, which left me free to enjoy a great day in Mount Carmel.
The Area
Mount Carmel is located in southern Utah near the Arizona border and is just a short drive from Zions National Park. It also is close to the Coral Pink Sands State Park. The area was the prehistoric home to the Virgin Anasazi band of Native Americans. In addition to the many examples of natural beauty, Mount Carmel is also home to some great historical sites and old buildings, which makes it the perfect place to visit for anyone with an interest in history.
Things to Do
With Zions National Park so close, I couldn't pass up the chance to see it in person, so I headed out to the park. I've seen countless photos, but experiencing it in person was something special. After visiting the park, I decided to head to the Coral Pink Sands State Park. It was another beautiful part of the country that was great to see in person. Then I headed back into Mount Carmel and visited a museum that detailed the area's history. It was really cool to be able to learn about the history of Mount Carmel. There were a lot of other cool things to do that I wish I would have had more time for, including a zip line. I'll be sure to come back to town and try that.
The Food
After my day exploring the area, I was feeling hungry and wanted to get something great for dinner. I asked around and several locals suggested Sammie's Chuck Wagon in nearby Orderville. I was glad I followed their suggestion because the food was great. I ordered a slice of pizza and bread sticks. Their bread sticks were amazing and I left feeling full and satisfied. If I find myself in Mount Carmel again, I'll be sure to go back to eat there.

After a fun day of exploring and a great meal, I was tired and ready to relax.
