During a recent business trip, I found myself in the Lehi area with a free afternoon. I was in town for a series of meetings, but the last day of meetings ended early. Instead of heading home early, I decided to spend a day exploring the city of Lehi. I knew I'd be able to easily book a hotel thanks to the HotelTonight app, which left me free to enjoy a great day seeing what Lehi had to offer. I couldn't wait to forget the stress of work meetings and relax in the city.
The Area
Lehi is located in the Provo-Orem Metropolitan Statistical Area and is one of the fastest growing cities in the state. It is found north of Provo and a short drive from Salt Lake City. The city is home to a number of businesses and tech companies and has seen a population boom over the past several years. Lehi is near the mountains and is close to a river, providing beautiful scenery for the town. After spending a day in town it's easy to see why so many people are coming to Lehi. It's one of the most exciting cities in Utah.
Things to Do
There are so many fun things to see and do in the city. I started out my day in town by heading down to Thanksgiving Point, where I was able to catch a movie and visit a an interactive museum. Then I headed back to the city center and spent some time checking out the great stores in town. Lehi is home to both locally owned businesses and bigger chains. There is a trendy and exciting feel to the shops in Lehi and it seems to have everything you could want to do. I could have easily spent a week in the city and still not have been able to do everything.
The Food
As I was making my way through the city I noticed that there are so many delicious looking places to eat. I always love trying local places so I made my way to this nice diner that was located in one of the main retail hubs of the city. The place had a lot of great looking sandwiches on their menu, and I decided to go with a cheese steak sandwich. I was so glad I did because it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had and was a great way to cap off my day in Lehi.
