Historic Sites
To get your fix of historic sites while in Billings, you'll need to visit Old Town. The streets of Old Town are dotted with beautiful old buildings, such as the McAdow building from 1882 and the exquisite L&L and Covington buildings (built circa 1895). Stunning red brick buildings can be found all over this neighborhood, and it just might give you a glimpse into what life was like when Billings was a booming new railroad town.
China Alley
Craving some good Chinese food? You're in luck, because Billings actually has a very small Chinatown, known as China Alley. This block has been home to Chinese immigrants and their descendants for generations, and it's China Alley where Billings locals satisfy their cravings for authentic Chinese cuisine. And, of course, you'll experience a very different culture in China Alley than you'll find in the rest of Billings, which only adds to the neighborhood's charm.
Boutique Shops
Old Town Billings is home to a number of boutiques and locally owned shops, which is why it's a great place to find your Billings souvenirs. I always prefer to shop at mom and pop shops and locally owned stores when I visit a new city, because then it feels like I leave with something authentic and memorable. So I spent an afternoon ducking into one shop after another until I found several great keepsakes.
