People at reception are very rude and not attentive. They could improve their manners. Room is ok. Service ok. Bar/restaurant downstairs have very attentive waiters. Bel boys also very attentive. Receptionists need to go.

We had stayed at the Algonquin before - pre-renovation - when it was beyond charming. Every room was a jewel box. We were excited to return. Unfortunately, it now looks like every other Marriott. It’s fine, but we were disappointed.
