Things to Do

Despite being a small town, there is a lot to see and do in Green River. I happened to be in town at the perfect time and saw signs advertising fresh Watermelon and quickly learned that Green River is famous for its melons. I decided it'd be fun to drop in on the town's Melon Days. I was able to sample some delicious locally grown melons and also got a nice taste of local life in Green River. In addition to that, I also stopped in at a museum which details the history of the area. It was really interesting and a fun way to relax.

The Food

I wanted to try the best food that Green River has to offer, so I asked around for recommendations and was led to a little cafe in town. Several people had mentioned how great the restaurant's sandwiches were, so I ordered a BLT. The sandwich was delicious and the lettuce and tomato were so fresh it could have been picked that day. After my sandwich, I finished off the meal with a piece of pie. The pie was so good and served as the perfect end to my day in Green River.
