HotelTonight – San Angelo Texas Hotels

San Angelo is located in the Concho Valley of West Texas, and it has earned nicknames like the "Oasis of West Texas" and the "Pearl of the Conchos." After visiting the town of San Angelo, I began to understand these nicknames. The city is a beautiful little gem situated in between plains and desert, and the town itself is rich in entertainment, excitement and culture. I have visited a handful of small towns in Texas over the years, but San Angelo quickly became one of my very favorite. I was so glad I had the chance to visit San Angelo and explore its culture and history, but I wouldn't have even taken the trip if it weren't for HotelTonight, which helped me book a great hotel in San Angelo in just a few quick minutes.

River Walk

San Angelo's Concho River Walk has received significant acclaim, and for good reason – it's one of the prettiest, most well maintained public waterfront spaces that I've seen. The River Walk winds along the Concho River, and it is where locals go to exercise, have picnics with their families, play with their kids and socialize with neighbors. The River Walk embodies the warm, welcoming and tight-knit feel of this community, and I enjoyed taking leisurely strolls down it during my stay in San Angelo.

Downtown

Downtown San Angelo is one of the most desirable places to live in the city because of its vibrant energy, its great dining and shopping, and its unique atmosphere. Downtown San Angelo is a culturally diverse community that supports great artists and entertainment, and you'll find a bit of everything here, from popular local pubs and upscale wine bars to unique jewelry shops and family-owned restaurants. I loved the vibes I got in downtown San Angelo and was especially glad I chose to stay in downtown San Angelo, as I was able to walk anywhere I wanted to go in town.

Historic Old Town

Even though San Angelo's Old Town is only about a block long, it's definitely worth the visit, as it will give you a great sense of the town's history and heritage. This lovely, well-preserved old town features original buildings from the late 1880s and early 1900s. San Angelo takes pride in its history, and fortunately the city has worked hard to preserve the beautiful architecture and atmosphere of this historic district, which only adds to the rich character of the town.
