It's impossible to forget Nacogdoches. Not only does it have an unmistakably unique name, but it's also one of the most charming towns I've visited in Texas. You can feel the old-world character and charm of Nacogdoches wherever you go in town, which is why I enjoyed exploring Nacogdoches so much. Nacogdoches locals love getting outside and getting active, and it's easy to see why when you begin to explore the beautiful natural setting of the town. During my brief stay in Nacogdoches, I visited the Alazan Bayou Wildlife Area, the Banita Creek Trail and Lake Nacogdoches.
Arts and Entertainment
Nacogdoches is a relatively small city, with a population of about 33,000. However, this small town places a big emphasis on arts and entertainment, and locals especially love going to the theater. Nacogdoches boasts an impressive selection of Fine Arts centers, such as the Old Opera House, the Cole Concert Hall and the W.M. Turner Auditorium. There's always some type of fine entertainment for locals to enjoy in Nacogdoches.
