Some of the most notable attractions in the district include the Old Town Theatre, the Sam Houston Memorial Museum, the Wynne Home Arts Center and Sam Houston State University.

Outdoors

Huntsville locals love the outdoors, and they have a good reason to – there are so many great public spaces nearby to enjoy nature. In addition to community parks like the Eastham-Thomason Park and Emancipation Park, the city is also home to the Huntsville State Park, where locals go for great hiking, biking, and fishing at the pristine Lake Raven. Whenever locals want to get active and enjoy the great outdoors, all they have to do is step out their backyards, because there is so much beautiful nature all over Huntsville.
