HotelTonight – Book Sioux Falls Hotels in Minutes
Recently, I found myself in Sioux Falls with a day free of plans. I was in town for a business meeting, but when my meeting was canceled at the last minute, I decided to spend a day in town exploring the city. I knew I wouldn't have any problem finding a place to stay, even on short notice. Thanks to the HotelTonight app, I was left free to enjoy my day in Sioux Falls, seeing all that the town had to offer.
The Area
Sioux Falls is located in eastern South Dakota near the Minnesota border. It is the biggest city in South Dakota and is the county seat of Minnehaha County. The city lies on the banks of the Big Sioux River and is surrounded by rolling hills. The river and hills give Sioux Falls a beautiful scenic feel, and it's a great place to visit for anyone who loves the outdoors. In addition to having easy access to outdoor activities, Sioux Falls has all the comforts of a big city while retaining a cozy small town feel.
Things to Do
There was so much to see and do in Sioux Falls, I could have spent a week there without doing everything I wanted to. I started my day off by going on a Sculpture Walk through town. I followed a path throughout the town and was able to see some really neat sculptures and works of art. It was a fun start to the day, and I enjoyed seeing some great works of art. After that, I visited the Old Courthouse Museum. I also enjoy seeing the local history of an area and the museum was a great stop. It had several local items, and I enjoyed being able to learn about the history of Sioux Falls.
The Food
While I was at the museum, I asked a local where the best place in town was to get a bite to eat. They suggested I head over to a casual place that specializes in classic American food. I was glad I decided to eat there, because it was some of the best food I've ever had. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, and it was such a good burger. I'll be sure to tell all my friends about this place.

After dinner, I was feeling ready to unwind and get some rest in my hotel room. I was glad I had the HotelTonight app on my phone, because it takes all the stress out of finding a place to stay. That night, as I relaxed in my hotel room, I thought back on my day and was so glad I decided to spend the day in town after my plans changed.
