Recently I found myself in Logan, with an afternoon free. I was in town with plans to visit my cousin, but when he got called away for work I decided to make the best of my time in Logan and explore the city. I knew I'd have no trouble finding a place to stay thanks to the HotelTonight app, which left me free to enjoy a fun day in one of the coolest cities in the state. A fun and relaxing day in Logan was just what I needed.
The Area
Logan is one of the most beautiful cities in Utah and has a truly unique feel to it. The city is located in northeastern Utah and is nestled on the slopes of the Bear River Mountains and close to the Logan River the city has a outdoorsy feel to it, but it is a big enough city to have everything you'd want or need. It's also the home of Utah State University, which gives the city a lively and trendy feel to it. All of this comes together to make Logan one of the best places to visit in Utah.
Things to Do
The city is full of so many great things to see and do. No matter what interests you have Logan is a great place to be. The city is surrounded by several hiking trails and has easy access to the Logan River, which makes it perfect for nature lovers. If you are more of a city person I found that the city is home to a lot of great local stores and cafes and the city of Logan has a chic and trendy feel to it that makes it the perfect place to do some shopping. In addition to that, there are always activities going on at USU. I could have spent a week in Logan and still not be able to do everything that I wanted to do.
The Food
After a fun day in the city, I was feeling hungry and ready to get dinner. I asked around for the best place to eat and sever people pointed me in the direction of a little diner right in the heart of the city. I was so glad I took their advice because the food was phenomenal. I ordered a BLT and it was to die for. The tomato on it was so fresh, it could have been picked that day.
