HotelTonight – Find Hotels in Sandy with Ease
I recently found myself in the Salt Lake Valley with a free afternoon. I was in Utah for a business meeting, but when the meeting was canceled at the last minute, I was left with a free day. Instead of just heading back home, I decided to use my newfound free time to spend a day in Salt Lake, exploring one of the cities that make up the Salt Lake City area. I knew I wouldn't have a problem finding a place to stay thanks to the easy-to-use HotelTonight app, which left me free to enjoy a fun day in the city.
The Area
Sandy is located in southern Salt Lake County and is one of the best places in the Salt Lake Valley to spend a day exploring the town. The city is located at the base of the Wasatch Mountains and is one of the prettiest spots in the valley. The city is also home to Major League Soccer team Real Salt Lake and women's team Utah Royals FC. I couldn't wait to see all that Sandy had to offer.
Things to Do
The city is filled with a number of things to see and do. In addition to the professional soccer teams that play at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, the area also features a number of great stores and local shops as well as parks and the downtown area is very walkable. I spent a long time wandering around the downtown area, popping in and out of stores and enjoying the great weather of a Utah Summer. Then I decided to visit one of the many parks in Sandy. After that, I spent a lot of time at a sporting goods store, which also features a number of wildlife displays and a big aquarium.
The Food
After spending the day exploring Sandy, I was feeling ready for some dinner. I wanted to try the best food that the city had to offer, so I asked some locals where I should grab a bite to eat. I was directed to a really nice restaurant that served great food. I ordered a piece of grilled salmon, and it was so good. I'd make the trip to Sandy again just for that. I finished off the meal with a piece of cheesecake for dessert. It was a great way to cap off my day in Sandy.

When I finished my meal, I was feeling tired and ready to get some rest.
