HotelTonight – Last-Minute Hotels in University District Bozeman
Bozeman, Montana is known as a college town. Home to Montana State University, Bozeman's lively atmosphere comes from its student population, and it's one of the reasons why I found this small town so charming. College towns have a certain youthful energy that is simply infectious, and Bozeman is a great example of that. Since I was in town for a few days for work at the university, I decided that it was best to stay near the campus. Fortunately, I always know I can count on HotelTonight to book great last-minute hotels whenever I travel. So I pulled up my HotelTonight app, and within minutes I had booked a great hotel in the University District in Bozeman. The Campus
If you are staying near Montana State University, you should take some time to explore the campus. While on the smaller side, this campus is full of beautiful red brick buildings and well-kempt lawns, where you'll see students sprawled out on sunny days. The MSU campus is not only pretty, it's also full of energy and excitement (unless it's finals week), and you can easily see why the student population breathes life into this Montana city.
Museum of the Rockies
Montana State University boasts a museum that is affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution, the Museum of the Rockies. Best known for its collections in paleontology, the Museum of the Rockies also has exhibits that focus on the history of the Rocky Mountains. So if you want to learn about the people and the animals of the Rockies, and how they both have changed over time, you should carve out a few hours for a visit to the Museum of the Rockies during your time in Bozeman.
Parks
If there's one thing that Bozeman has no shortage of, it's green, open spaces. This town is full of beautiful parks and public spaces, which is one of the many reasons why I'm so envious of the Montana State University students. Some of the closest parks to the campus include Graf Park, Southside Park and Peets Hill/Burke Park.
