HotelTonight – Book Swan Valley Hotels with Ease
Swan Valley has always been one of my favorite places to visit. The town is tucked away in the mountains and is a short drive from Yellowstone National Park. During a recent trip through Idaho, I was able to spend a day in Swan Valley and take in all that makes the town great. The HotelTonight app made finding a place to stay on short notice easy allowing me to enjoy a fun day out. I was on a business trip in Jackson, Wyo. and after I finished with meetings, I decided to make the short drive to Swan Valley and spend a day exploring the town that is known as the gateway to the Tetons. The Difference
There's something about Swan Valley that makes it one of the most beautiful places in eastern Idaho. The town has an old-fashioned feel and is surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenery. I quickly found out during my day in Swan Valley that in addition to the scenery, there are a number of great stores and restaurants in town as well.
The Food
For being such a small town there were a number of great places to eat in Swan Valley. I spent a long time trying to decide where I wanted to get lunch and dinner that day. After spending what felt like hours trying to pick a place to eat, I finally decided on a hamburger joint on the edge of town. I ate one of the best hamburgers I've ever had and the fries were just as good. After lunch, I headed over to get some ice cream at a place I'd heard a lot about where they serve square ice cream. The ice cream was fantastic and was a great way to top off a wonderful lunch.
The Area
Swan Valley is an exciting part of the state and is a great spot for someone who loves the outdoors. After finishing up lunch, I took a short drive and was in the mountains within minutes. I'd been wanting to spend some time in the outdoors for a while, so a day in Swan Valley was great. I took a little hike on one of the many trails in the area and then rode a zip line. All of this was within a short drive from the downtown area. There also were museums available to visit and a few nice local shops.
