HotelTonight – Ketchum Hotels
Located near the heart of the state, I've always wanted to visit the small city of Ketchum. The history of the area and gorgeous scenery have always made it seem like Ketchum would be the perfect getaway. After years of wanting to visit the city, I was finally able to earlier this year. Originally, I was in the area for a camping trip I had planned with a friend. When something came up and my friend couldn't make it, I decided to change plans and spend the day in Ketchum. With the HotelTonight app, I knew I wouldn't have to worry about finding a place to stay on short notice.
The Area
Ketchum's motto is "Small town, big life" and after visiting the city, I have to agree that it's true. Despite being such a small town, there is so much to do and see in Ketchum. When I first arrived, I spent some time walking up and down the streets, looking at all the shops, restaurants and sights that Ketchum had to offer. In addition to all the different shops the city has, there also are endless amounts of outdoor activities to do. Nestled in the mountains, Ketchum is a great destination that allows you to enjoy life in a small city, while still having easy access to the outdoors.
Things to Do
As I walked up and down the streets, I noticed that for being such a small town, there are so many things to do. There were art galleries, tennis courts, a number of local stores and boutiques and so much more. During my day in the city, I decided to visit an art gallery and loved spending time admiring some great works of art. Then I decided it was time to find something to eat and began to search for a restaurant.
The Food
Ketchum seemed to be full of wonderful looking local restaurants. One of my favorite parts of visiting a new area is finding a great local place to eat. Ketchum's host of restaurants didn't disappoint, and I quickly found a great place to eat. I had a great hamburger in a little place with a great view of the mountains. Then after the hamburger, I decided to treat myself to a local treat and ordered a bowl of huckleberry ice cream. The ice cream was great and tasted like it was just made. It was easily one of the best meals I've ever had.

After a day of fun, shopping and great food I decided it was time to get some rest. I didn't have to worry about finding a hotel room on short notice, thanks to the HotelTonight app. I opened up the app and had reserved a room in a matter of minutes. I left the restaurant and headed to my room to get some sleep. Despite my plans changing at the last minute, I had a great time in Ketchum and can't wait for the next chance to get back to the city.
