Yorba Linda is a safe, pretty little town in Anaheim that is regularly ranked as one of the best cities to live in Southern California. With its small town charm and beautiful streets, I could easily see why. I recently planned a trip to Southern California and was looking for a place to stay in the Anaheim area. The Outdoors
When you visit Southern California, you should expect to spend a good amount of time outdoors. After all, the Mediterranean climate of Anaheim is nearly perfect, and the natural surroundings are too gorgeous not to want to explore. I went on a number of hikes and nature walks during my stay in Yorba Linda, and some of my favorite outdoor spots in the area included Chino Hills State Park, the Carbon Canyon Park and the Yorba regional Park.
The Packing District
A few locals recommended that I check out Anaheim's Packing District while in town, and I'm glad I listened to their advice. The Packing District is one of the hottest new additions to the area, and the revitalized complex now features dozens of food stalls and eateries. There's everything from freshly pressed juice to flavorful Indian food at the Packing District, so it's definitely a group-pleaser. I loved the Packing District so much that I ended up visiting twice during my stay in Yorba Linda.
The Presidential Library
Yorba Linda's best-known attraction is probably The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum. This 9-acre campus was Nixon's birthplace, and it's also his final resting place. The campus itself is beautiful, and you can learn a lot about the 37th president by touring the museum, which includes Nixon's presidential papers and various memorabilia. If you're interested in American history and politics, the Nixon Presidential Library is worth a visit while you're in Yorba Linda.
